Meet Our Board Members

My name is DeAngela Edwards.  I am the proud mother of one adult son and one grandson.  I am family oriented and believe they are one of our biggest supporters.  I have been an Licensed Practical Nurse for over 20 years.  I am also a Licensed Massage Therapist.  In the last 10 years I have worked specifically with minors and adults with special needs and have loved every minute of it.  This community has humbled me and shown me the true meaning of strength.  I am so excited to be apart of this Organization.  I am ready and willing to make sure that this community has the same rights and privileges as every one else.  My goal is for my dedication to show with each step and monument we take as an Organization.

Hello. My name is Keith T. Jones Jr. I am a proud father of a 10 year old son. I received my Bachelors degree from Missouri Valley College in 2014. I am currently a Supervisor at Great Circle where we house minors to age 18 who are unable to live at home.

My goal as board President is to work side by side with other board members to decrease the number of homelessness for our great community of Developmentally Disabled young adults. I believe with your help, Humble Abode Residence can make well needed changes for this often unseen community.

My name is Jewell Anderson.  I am a wife, mother of 3 and entrepreneur.  I am a Co-Treasurer and Website Administrator of Humble Abode Residence.  I work part time as a Collections Representative for a large bank and I am an overall crafty individual.  

I have over 20 years of customer service experience and over 10 years of banking experience.  I bring a wealth of experience to the organization and I look forward to what is to come with Humble Abode Residence.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, making jewelry, t-shirts and camping.

My name is Tynisha Boykin. I am currently a Customer Service Supervisor at Cigna. In my professional role I create standard operating procedures and training materials for new departments and/or projects. I lead a team of 30 daily to successfully meet the company’s daily goals. I received my business and professional training from Tennessee State University and Harris Stowe University. My passions include community service and helping children in need. I currently sit on the board of Humble Abode Residence, a non-profit that assists people with special needs. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and pouring knowledge and love into my daughter.

LaRae Dixon began his career in the financial services industry in 1992. He gained experience at ITT Commercial Finance where he was a senior operations analyst in the computer room. In 1998 LaRae transitioned to production control technician for A.G. Edwards & Sons. He was hired by Wachovia in 2008, and served as a Systems Analyst. In 2009 LaRae accepted a role within Wells Fargo Advisors (WFA) as a Relationship Manager. LaRae currently oversees and provides support to WFA Business Leaders to achieve business objectives in areas of Client Experience, Risk Management, Growth, Value and Community. He is a member of WFA B/AA Initiative and WFA B/AA Connection. LaRae was recognized as one of the 2019 Golden Spoke Champions, which is the company’s highest recognition for outstanding work in 2019.  He is very active in the community as a tutor, and a mentor. He served as a Captain for the Community Support and United Way Campaign. LaRae serves as Assistant Team Leader of the Deacon Ministry at Believers Temple Word Fellowship.

Greetings. I am President and CEO of Meeks Enterprises LLC, and I have helped local and national companies open doors, establish market dominance, and gain exceptional bottom-line growth.  I hold a MBA from Webster University and a BS from Columbia College. I look forward to using my expertise, experience, and knowledge to find homes for our Developmentally Disabled Community.
